OJT training for construction contractors working on CDOT projects

CDOT recently released a new On-the-Job Training (OJT) Specification for all federally-funded highway construction projects awarded after September 6, 2018. To help CDOT prime and subcontractors learn about OJT requirements and changes in the new specification that may impact training plans and OJT goals, CDOT is offering two free workshops:

  • In-person Class for Prime and Subcontractors: September 26, 3pm – 5pm, Denver Chamber of Commerce, 1445 Market St., Denver CO. Click here to register.
  • Webinar for Prime Contractors: October 16, 12:30pm – 1:30pm, online. Click here to register. (If a sub or stakeholder is unable to attend the in-person session, they can attend the webinar. It will be a condensed version focused on what is required of primes who are already familiar with the OJT program.)

View/download the flyer with details. Please pass along to any of your clients or members who are in construction and interested in working with CDOT. We also invite you to attend one of the sessions so you’re up to date on the new spec. The OJT program is a great way for companies to develop employees into journey workers in construction trades. There will also be information about CDOT’s RISE program which offers free construction skills training and support services.
